Nami island during autumn- yay or nay?

Visited in Nov which is almost at the end of autumn so I did take into consideration that I may not see much fall views🥹

PROS👍🏻

✅ leaves were super orange and red, makes for really great photos

✅ vibes were more relaxed cause you aren’t surrounded by buildings like in the city (the air was also pristine)

✅ island was pretty huge so if you walk in further, there is less crowd

✅ winter sonata was filmed there so my parents were very enthu in recreating scenes from the drama lol

CONS👎🏻

❌ located at the outskirts of Seoul so travelling there took at least 2 hrs by bus, more convenient if you book a tour but still..

❌ if you booked a tour like I did, you’d have only 2-3 hours to tour around the island, which tbh isn’t enough if you want to eat and walk around to take photos

❌ super touristy area with (overpriced) food choices spread across the island. we had the duck kbbq set from Seomhyanggi, it was tasty but priceyyy

OVERALL❣️

☁️ nice tourist attraction to visit if it’s your first time in Korea

☁️ looks same same but different if you visit during different seasons (been there during spring and it was more or less the same minus the flowers/leaves)

☁️ accessible and great for small families with kids, families with elderly parents and partners
