I love pasta and I am always on the hunt for good, authentic pasta in Singapore! I came across La Nonna in Holland Village and decided to give it a try. I think they are known for their 1-for-1 lunch deals but I went on a weekend so I didn’t get to try the promotion Every meal comes 🥲

with free bread with dressing and water which was a nice appetiser before our main courses. Here is what I got:

🧀 Gnocchi Ai Quattro Formaggi ($26)

Homemade gnocchis in Italian 4-cheese sauce with bacon crisps and pumpkin! While some cheese sauces can get a bit overwhelming after a while, I didn’t get tired of this. The portion

may look small but I was really full after this dish. The bacon toppings added a nice crunch as well. The gnocchis were nicely coated with the sauce which suited the doughy texture.

🦞 Ravioli Della Nonna ($28)

Lobster Ravioli with Arrabbiata sauce and fresh herbs. The lobster taste is quite prominent but I would have liked it more if there were chunks of lobster in it to add to the texture. The sauce

was a little spicy as well. The ravioli was nicely coated in the sauce which added a lot of flavour.

🍷Happy Hour Wine ($8)

I went during happy hour (daily, 6pm-8pm) and got a glass of white wine for only $8! Alternatively, you can also get a full pint of draught beer at $10, bottled beer at $6 or a bottle of Prosecco at $38 (with complimentary sides).

Overall, the prices were a bit higher than what I was expecting (total bill was around $80 for two pax). But it was still a nice dinner date! So, if you want some authentic Italian food, definitely try La Nonna out 😙
