So we’ve officially moved into our home for almost 3 months now. And frankly speaking, we haven’t done much (if any) heavy cooking in our open concept kitchen.
I’ve made Korean stews and Japanese garlic fried rice, in addition to many many bowls of instant noodles 🤪. But the one I’m sharing today was a really big #hit with my husband. He declared “this is the #best #kaisendon i’ve ever had!”.
We got everything from Don Don Donki 🙌🏻 Super convenient and you can add whatever you like really :) But this is what we had in ours
Each bowl of goodness had:
🐟 5 X Swordfish Sashimi Slices
🍣 5 X Salmon Sashimi Slices
🦀 2 X Crab Sticks
🥗 1 X Spoonful of mayo mixed with chopped up crabstick
♥️ 2 X Spoonful of Salmon Roe (Ikura)
⭐️ 2 X Spoonful of Sea Urchin (Uni)
🍙 as much sushi rice as you would like
For the Sushi rice, we already had Sushi Seasoning Vinegar at home, and all you need to do is cook some Japanese short grained rice, and add the sushi vinegar and salt to the rice while it’s hot. Mix it with a “slashing” motion and do not stir the rice around so that you don’t break the rice and make it pasty. Let the rice cool down and top off all your fresh seafood.
Serve chilled drizzled with light sauce, and have some extra sauce and wasabi on the side :)
We paid around $90 for all the ingredients above (excluding rice which we already have) and it made 2 super #indulgent and huge #atas kaisendon. I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to find a restaurant in Singapore serving you a dish like this at that price point. But if you do, please share! :D
