Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine worth going?

Back for another food review!

The higher raved Xiang Xiang Hunan Cuisine. Finally I got to try this for myself. There is always a long queue at almost every single outlet islandwide!

Personally, I enjoy Chinese food but usually I find them on the oilier side so I’ll only have it once in a while.

Dish 1: hunan style stir fried pork

Rating /⭐⭐⭐: very nicely done. The meat was very tender and the greens that I thought was capsicum was actually green chili! Note: it’d be spicy for those with low spice tolerance! Towards the end when finishing the dish, can see that a lot of oil was used. Might be good to request for less oil!

Dish 2: crispy toufu stuffed with soy milk

Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: will definitely order this again! Looks like a simple toufu dish but the flavour they incorporated for the sauce, was amazing! Very appetizing and full of flavours. Not your usual toufu dish😎

Dish 3: stir fried romaine with garlic

Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: love that they used a generous amount of garlic! It’s a simple vegetable dish but yet, it was really good!

Dish 4: braised dried beancurd stick

Rating /⭐: not something I’d order again😅 it’s a very light dish with dried beancurd stick and fried eggs. The soup was oily.

Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience. Before your meals, you can even reach out to the front counter for free flow snacks and ice cream (there’s vanilla, lime and chocolate flavours). Perfect place for family with kids🤭 even adults will definitely enjoy this!

I’ll be back again to try more of their signature dishes!
