stay-in lunch: treat ur (& ur fam's) tummies! 🍕

after scrolling through all of the different food recommendations here, i was really craving some good pizza 🍕😫 so i decided to treat the fam to pizza hut's new cheesy 7 pizza flavours which were launched in end-july to commemorate hari raya haji and national day! i was also really enticed by the offers that were running on the delivery option, with up to 50% off depending on which sharing box you order - so it's pretty worth the money!

01 — 🍕 cheesy 7 garlic buttermilk chicken pop (5/5)

while the cheesy 7 pizza line isn't new to sg, this flavour was released fresh out of the oven this year! featuring a decadent mix of seven types of cheese including cheddar, mozzarella, cream cheese, parmesan etc, this new flavour features spicy chicken pops with flavourful garlic buttermilk sauce that keeps you going for more. we opted for the cheese-filled crusts for extra chewiness and everything came together really well. 🧀 now i know that some people may not be the biggest fans of pizza hut due to their thick crusts which sometimes can get a little dry, that definitely wasn't the case for this one since the abundance of cheese made everything super weighted, gooey and hearty! 🤤

02 — 🐓 chicken tenders, 4pcs (5/5)

the sharing box comes with a choice of two sides, so we picked this out since we wanted some added protein. while they looked ordinary and unassuming upon receipt, these chicken tenders were out to surprise and overachieve 😫😫😫 the breaded outer layer was super crispy and the chicken fillets were real tender — and the best part was it was still warm when it reached us, so it was pretty immaculate for a chicken lover like me 🤪

03 — 🥖 milo breadsticks, 6pcs (3/5)

for the sweet side, we chose these milo breadsticks simply because we loved the local twist they adopted by replacing the regular cinnamon powder with milo. these looks gorgeous honestly like a milo dinosaur on a hot day — but they were a tad hard, which made the experience a little less amazing. could be because of the delivery time or not — but it was pleasant nonetheless since it wasn't overly sweet despite having milo powder and condensed milk 🥛

04 — 🧀 cream cheese tarts, 2pcs (4/5)

on top of the box, we decided to get add-on desserts for the fun of it. with a thick buttery crust, 3-cheese mix filling and a herb 'n' spice cream cheese blob atop, these tarts were a unique, flavourful experience. for some reason, we expected it to be sweet since it was a dessert item — but it turned out to be extra savoury, especially with the herb and spice. we ate it chilled, which could have caused that little dissonance, but i can imagine it being amazing heated! 🔥

overall, thinking about how pizza hut coined the cheese 7 as the cheesiest pizza ever, i think that it IS super cheesy, but maybe not the most in existence haha. i can imagine it being a little less textured if we had gone for the oriiginal crusts, but the flavours really blended super well for this — and it might just take the cake as my favourite pizza from pizza hut yet! 🙌
