When digicams first resurfaced I went home and started diggggging for my families old digicams and I found this baby!

💰 Price: idk we bought it in 2010 💀 but there are many digicam resellers in sg starting from $100!

❓So should you get a digicam?

short answer YES!

invest about $50-100 to get a midtier digicam if you dont think you will use it often. Theres even digicams on shopee that arent from the major brands. (less than $50?) https://shope.ee/7UpQfaXcLy (never tried but reviews seem good)

❓What model/brand should I get?

Stop wasting your time searching for a certain model/brand of digital camera because almost every digital camera with a flash can achieve a similar effect!

Some tips to achieve that vintage effect is to go for the older models which also tend to be cheaper! if you are looking for clearer photos your iphone can do the job!

you can list out certain MUST HAVE features u want in a digicam to filter out your options! some specs to consider are

- Size/portability

- Flip screen?? i really want this 😭

- film simulations (some Fujifilm models have preset filters that simulate films! but its quite pricey >$300)

❓When do I use my digicam?

I prefer to use my digicam at night or at dark places! like the club! but this is personal preference the photos in the day don’t match my style

- compact and light literally smaller and lighter than my iphone 13 pro max

- vintage film like effect without the cost of buying films & developing

- by right they last forever as its rechargable!

- pretty affordable!

👎🏻 DigiCam Cons

- you already own a phone camera do u need another one to bring around?

- gotta transfer the photos out using a dongle (1-2 mins of ur time?) ($5 SD card reader - https://shope.ee/7ACbjdqHx4)

- cant see yourself when taking selfies (unless u invest in one that can flip screen🤩)

Overall:

I basically got my digicam for free since i took it from home 🤭 but this “Free trial” has confirmed my interest in getting a new digicam! only because the screen of my current is faded from sitting in a drawer for too long. (last pic) which really hinders the user experience of a digicam because i really cant see my photos well until it has been exported to my phone 🫠.

but take that as a note when buying used digicams from resellers! make sure to get real life vids/pics of the camera to ensure good working quality!
