How to make Pan- Fried Tofu?
Ingredients:
- 1 block of firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional garnishes: green onions, sesame seeds, soy sauce
Instructions:
1. Drain and Press Tofu:Remove the tofu from its packaging and wrap it in paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. Place a weight on top (like a heavy pan) and let it sit for about 20-30 minutes to press out excess water.
2. Slice the Tofu:Cut the tofu into slices or cubes, depending on your preference.
3. Season:Lightly season the tofu with salt and pepper.
4. Heat Oil:In a non-stick skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
5. Cook Tofu:Place the tofu pieces in the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
6. Serve:Remove the tofu from the skillet and place it on a serving dish. Garnish with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and a side of soy sauce if desired.
