How to make Seafood Tofu?
Ingredients:
• 1 block of firm tofu, cut into cubes
• 150 grams shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 100 grams scallops
• 100 grams white fish fillet, cut into small pieces
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
• 1 teaspoon sesame oil
• 1/2 teaspoon sugar
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 inch piece ginger, minced
• 1 green onion, chopped
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
• Vegetable oil for cooking
• Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Tofu:
• Gently pat the tofu cubes with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
• In a pan, heat some vegetable oil over medium heat and lightly fry the tofu until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
2. Cook the Seafood:
• In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed, and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
• Add the shrimp, scallops, and fish pieces. Cook until they just start to turn opaque.
3. Seasoning the Dish:
• Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sugar to the seafood. Stir well to combine.
• Gently add the fried tofu back into the pan. Stir carefully to mix without breaking the tofu.
4. Thicken the Sauce:
• Pour the cornstarch mixture into the pan. Stir gently and cook until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu and seafood nicely.
5. Final Touches:
• Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle chopped green onions on top.
• Serve hot with rice or noodles.
