After dating someone 5 years older for a year, I tried to date someone my age and the difference is stark .-.

I don't think I can go back to dating someone my age. Its a super different life phase and mindset and having to wait for them and make myself seem smaller than I am was tiring.

They are usually still in NS and school, I have been working for 3 years + part time university and was being forced to grow up as a child, it was kinda hard trying to relate to their lifestyles. -

Dating an older guy with a full time job would better align with how I feel at this life stage.

1. The nice guys 😊

Guys that are super nice to me but still not in the same life phase, mindset or maturity as me, so it doesn't really work. They still need time to experience life and build themselves up.

2. The egostical guys 😈

*shakes head*

The hot ones that drains your soul, and leads you on, doesnt tell you what they actaully want from you.

3. The fkbois 🤬

Guys that just wanna fk around and they say it directly.

4. The princes 🤡

Never done anything in their lives and you kinda have to baby them.

5. The ones that are self aware 👺

They wanna work on themselves and usually aren't looking for commitment - the ones that are hot to me ahahaha but yea different life phases.

I realised that if they weren't on my level of life and maturity, they can usually be kinda insecure due to the lack of acheivements and life experiences. They end up holding me back from growing into who I want to be.

At this point in my life, dating someone younger usually drain my energy more than add value to my life, so I rather date older or just be alone.
