i'm NOT discriminating anyone for their height, or their type in guys! this is just my take on why i prefer short guys, with the pros and cons of dating one!

PROS:

❤️ perfect height difference

according to some studies shown, the ideal height ratio (for hetero couples) is 1 : 1.09 🌟

for some context, i'm 1.54m and my bf is 1.69m!

if we apply this ratio theory, my ideal guy should be about 1.68m, which isn't too far off 🫶🏻

❤️ you don't have to break your neck everytime you look up at him

as a relatively short girl, i almost always have to look up to talk to people 😅 since i meet my bf very often (almost everyday) i wouldn't want to hurt my neck by looking up at him all the time 🥲

❤️ not limiting my dating pool

i know a few girls who exclusively date tall guys (1.8m+)

i find that eliminating guys from your dating pool just because of their height can kinda limit your options 👎🏻👎🏻

i just prefer to review their compatibility with me first (personality, values, future goals, hobbies & interests etc.) before dismissing them completely!

CONS:

💔 you might not FEEL the height difference

some girls prefer dating a guy much taller than them because they can feel like they're being dominated over 🫢👀

it's definitely an experience a shorter guy might not be able to give you 🥲 if you like taller guys because of this, i totally get it HAHAHAH

esp for tall girls! i've heard tall girls mention they prefer dating tall men (1.8m+) because they wanna feel towered over too 🫶🏻

💔 your children might grow to be short

my mum has been nagging at me my whole life to marry a tall guy 😭 i haven't really heard of anyone else mention this point other than the older generation (my relatives), so i'm not sure if people my age also feel this way? like preferring taller guys just to breed taller children?? HAHHAHAH

💔 short guys aren't manly or attractive

i guess it's been ingrained in us to think that tall guys are always more attractive than shorter guys 👎🏻👎🏻

for me that's fine! i find that i have a soft spot for cute guys (esp if they have a babyface 😍), so i think it's okay if they're on the shorter side bc that makes them cuter 🥰❤️

i think it's completely fine to have a type! if you prefer taller or shorter guys, that's valid ❤️ i just personally prefer shorter guys bc they look cuter? HHAHAH and also bc im quite petite too 🥲
