Is Fairy Nail worth the hype?

I’ve been to Fairy Nail 3 times, so I think I’ve been there often enough to #BeReal and give my honest review on their skills and service! I’ve seen a lot of posts talking about Fairy Nail, and they own 4 stores within Holiday Plaza, so I think they’re quite popular currently.

The first time I went, was to give them a trial run as I was looking for a place to do my wedding nails. I chose to do my Flower Nails, got the inspo from Pinterest!

💅: Flower Nails

💰 Price: $28

⭐️ Rating: They did it quickly and the nails lasted me a really long time without chipping, months in fact! But it didn’t give the same vintage vibes as the inspo pic, so I decided not to go ahead with this for my final wedding nails. I did use this for my PWS though 🌸

The price was also very affordable, I’d probably pay at least $20-$30 more if I were to do it in SG.

💅: Cat Eye Nails

💰 Price: $30+ (can’t remember the exact price sorry 😭)

⭐️ Rating: I loved this set soooo much! Wanted something simple but glam for my wedding and I’m so glad I went with this set. Cat eye is a pretty popular look at the moment, so they have a lot of colours to choose from. You have to add $$ as it’s a bit more complicated than a single gel nail colour though!

💅: Chrome Nails

💰 Price: $48.7

⭐️ Rating: I was the most disappointed with this set :( One of my diamonds dropped out TWO DAYS after doing it, and all I did was open a tube of toothpaste.

When I messaged them, they said I could go back to fix that nail but I wouldn’t go all the way back just for one nail tbh.

I was also quite surprised at the price because my friend did a way more complicated version than me (with 3D charms and those resin charms they need to craft) + gel removal and she paid $4 more only… They also charged my friend $37 for just a single colour with a few lines over her nails.

Also, I think it depends from manicurist to manicurist but the one I got for my chrome nails couldn’t do some of the designs from the inspo pic I sent her (which is fine), but she kept asking me how/what I want instead… Which I thought it’d be better if they suggest since I don’t know what they’re capable of 🤔

My friend’s basic nail colour also turned out bumpy/not even for some nails which is the bare minimum! Was quite shocked by this latest round tbh because my past two rounds all went very well.

🗒️ Final Thoughts: Overall, I would go there for my nails still but I’d definitely check pricing first and maybe compare to some other nail places before sitting down 😵‍💫 I’d probably also request for a specific nail artist since their skill seems to vary a bit.
