Trending Spot: Is Anju worth it?

I’ve been seeing this all over TikTok, and the food looked really good so I was super excited to go! I was a little wary though because some TikTok recommendations have ended up being a bit over hyped.

👩🏻‍💼First things first, the service was great! They were really warm and friendly, which I appreciated.

🍽 The food was all SO good. They split their menu into snacks, cold and warm starters, mains and dessert so we had a bit of each.

1. Black Bean Mascarpone ($16)

This was a really interesting dish. There was green chive oil drizzled over it and it went great with the sourdough crackers.

2. Uni Scallop ($32)

We were a little apprehensive as the description said Uni Ice Cream, but it was just the right mix of savoury sweet and really elevated the dish. One thing that I thoroughly enjoyed at Anju was their take on dishes.

3. Yuk Hoe ($28)

This is very similar to steak tartare, but the seaweed and Korean pear added more dimension. Loved this dish!

4. Bossam ($50)

The star of the night! This is a must order. The pork belly was delicious, and the dried squid went great when wrapped with the lettuce leaves.

⭐️: My final verdict, Anju is definitely worth the hype, the food was really delicious and I had no complaints. Although it is on the pricier side, it’s worth it for the quality you’re getting. Will come back again!
