Thinking of travelling solo in bkk? | bkk guide

Travelling solo in bangkok might sound a little scary especially if you’re a girl! Let me share my experiences with you guys if you are contemplating if you should do it!

SAFETY CONCERNS

Not sure if I’m just considered lucky, but I did not experience anything weird or things that made me uncomfortable during my solo trip. Maybe it’s also because I only go to crowded areas in the day such as Siam square/ siam paragon this kind of malls. One of the tips that my friend gave to me is to go to places with a lot of tourists! Would not suggest you to go those “locals only” restaurants or spots as there are a lot of hidden alley in bangkok, you never know what will happen to you ⚠️

For nightlife, I went alone once and the experience was not bad actually. The people there are very friendly however I just felt like I was testing my luck as I would never know what could happen to me… I would not suggest girls to go alone… don’t be like me

BKK HACKS

Travelling alone usually tends to cost more as there are no other people to share costs with you! I cut down my budget by taking bike rides instead or grab cars or taxi! The average cost of bike ride is from $2-$6!! The most important part is also it always avoid the jam in bkk…

Trying street food is also my go-to money saving hack, getting good authentic thai local food at cheap prices!! I had this damn big bowl of pork noodles at $2sgd… HOWEVER, if you know you have a weak stomach, try this at your own risk
