When creating a skincare routine for acne prone skin, it’s best to start with simple and then introduce more layer. Here’s the best routine to start:

1. Always double cleanse at night. I wouldn’t recommend using a salicylic acid cleanser EVERY night as that contains exfoliating acids and can be harsh if you aren’t used to it. I would use one a few times a week!

2. Toner - I love the Niacinamide toner from Good Molecules but a hydrating toner is a great option on days when your skin can be more inflamed.

3. Actives like exfoliants and retinols are great to use a couple times a week.

4. Moisturizer - NEVER SKIP MOISTURIZER!! Even if you are oily skin prone!!

5. Sunscreen during the day always!
