I’m in my quiet, peaceful, soft girl era ✨

I moved from my college town to a big city 3 years ago and in the beginning, I was really big on going out at night. It was so exiting being in a new place, enjoying new friends and experiences! While there’s a part of me that still has the urge on occasion to be social and indulge in a few drinks, my appetite for the party life seems to be nonexistent these days.

Over the last year I’ve really started shifting my focus toward physical and mental wellness, and after hitting a certain threshold in that journey, partying just doesn’t fit into the equation anymore!

I’m trading late nights for early mornings with a cup of coffee, an audiobook, cuddles with my fur baby 🐰 and exploring my surroundings by day. I have to say this new way of life for me has been extremely satisfying.

But it’s not all sunshine and warm coffee! There are cons that come with a lifestyle change, and the hardest to navigate has been re-shaping my relationship with my girlfriends.

I’m lucky to have a great girl squad, but no one talks about how tough it can be to go through rapid lifestyle changes and the period of time it takes for your friends and peers to adjust and accept that you’re not the same as you used to be.

Definitely feeling like I’m on the verge of a completely new version of me, while also standing at the end of my old identity and watching it fade, and that can be tough sometimes.
