Happy National Coming out Day! 😁👏👻🎉🎊🏳️‍🌈🌈 As I reflect on myself on my journey as a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community I wanted thank each and everyone of you for all your love and support and for accepting me for who I am. To give a little back story I’ve always knew that I was gay I just didn’t realize it until 2018. On June,1st (Pride Month) of 2019 I got the courage to come out of the closet and made the announcement on Facebook letting all of my friends and family know that I was coming out as gay. This was not easy to do and it was nerve wracking because I was afraid of being judged, persecuted and shunted because of the hate the community have received but the moment I made that announcement and checked back on it the next day I was overwhelmed with joy at the amount of love a support I’ve received from my friends and family and it was such a huge relief because not I only I can finally be my true authentic self but I also have the love and support of my friends and family to help me along my journey. Now five years later I continue to celebrate myself learning new things about myself and the people who have helped me along my journey.
