This is hands down the Best Kaya Butter Toast 🍞🧈

𝑩𝒂𝒐 𝑬𝒓 𝑪𝒂𝒇𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒛𝒂 serves breakfast themed food and 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁. I went down at 3pm on a Saturday where there was still an insanely long queue.

The 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 features 𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄! 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱! The bread was also perfectly toasted and the butter was soft and had just the right amount of salt.

We also had the half boiled eggs that were slightly overcooked and the drinks (Teh Bing & Kopi C Kosong) which were decent but nothing to shout about.

We also ordered their 𝐇𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞 as every table had one but we were disappointed by the poor quality of the Hokkien Mee. The flavours were one-dimensional and was no flavourful at all. I couldn’t taste the umami seafood flavour of the broth either. Give this one a miss.

Bao Er cafe has the best kaya butter toast I had and they definitely deserve the long queues that they command. They are also famous for their Wok Hei Bee Hoon which was sadly unavailable that day. I would definitely be back for their Kaya Butter Toast and to try other dishes on the menu!
