Is McDonald’s Japan worth a visit? 🍟

The McDonald’s in Japan is widely touted as one of the best McDonald’s in the world. When I chanced upon one of their restaurants at Tokyo Station, I knew I had to give it a try.

🌟 Spicy Chicken McNuggets Garlic Pepper

This special McNuggets was a limited edition item on their menu. After considering the possibility that I might not be able to try it again after leaving Tokyo I knew we had to get it.

I took one bite and I knew right away, this was the best nugget I’ve ever had. The first thing that hit me was the fragrance of delicious fried food accompanied with the heavenly peppery smell. Biting through the perfect golden crust, I was met with nugget meat that was both complex and well-flavoured. The salty, savoury nugget was just blessed with strong spicy and peppery notes. At the same time, the flavours were so well balanced with none of the elements in the nugget overpowering the other. If you ever get the chance, PLEASE PLEASE order this item.

🧄 Black Garlic Sauce

I got the Black Garlic Sauce to accompany the McNuggets. The sauce reminded me of black pepper sauce with slight undertones of garlicky flavor. While the sauce did little to improve the already legendary McNuggets, the sauce itself tasted great.

In all, McDonald’s Japan’s reputation is well-earned. I highly recommend you give it a try if you come to Japan. And McDonald’s Japan, please bring some of your food items to Singapore.
