Mental Stimulation for Your Pup💡

Sometimes when I am stacked with tasks/chores it’ll cause me to miss out on my dog’s walk or when it rains because my dog refuses to go during that weather, I rely on these mental activities!

Snuffle mats/toys can store any type of dry food or treats. It allows your pet to forage through the fabrics to find the pieces. Purchasing these can be found at local pet stores, small pet businesses, or you could even make your own by using an old towel or blanket.

Treat Dispensers/Puzzles work in a similar fashion as snuffle mats/toys. This allows your pet to forage for their food dry through the dispensing holes or pieces that need to be moved around. Treat dispensers are a little bit easier than puzzles. With puzzles, I recommended showing your dog how it works at first and then let them figure it out.

Frozen Treats/Lick Mats are created by placing any type of dog safe food into the freezer for a few hours. Once it is read you can pull it out and let your pet lick away. This is similar to the classic tootsie roll commercial “how many licks does it take to get to the toostie roll center of a toostie pop”!

Some pets will enjoy these and take their time, others may figure things out pretty quickly, or maybe your pet likes to flip everything for it to be done the “easy” way 😅
