Why I deleted

I made the conscious decision to delete x/twitter due to the extreme content they allow and the toxic effects it has on mental health.

X formerly known as twitter made the switch and so did the platform in itself. I highly recommend young adults to uninstall the app due to the content it allows on its platform. If you don’t agree with it as well.

I’m an old lady trapped in a soon to be 25 year old body meaning I enjoy crafting, crocheting, gardening etc. I try to fill my social media feeds with this content. And it’s really disheartening to open up an x thread about crocheting and seeing adult video content, or completely inappropriate content just in general that would as I say make a southern gran clutch her heart and gasp.

The content it shows so freely makes you very desensitized to those acts and in turn it affects your mental health. Just like limiting screen time for kiddos i recommend limiting the type of content you digest as well.

And that is why I deleted x formerly known as twitter. Because again if I’m trying to look at gardening or crochet posts and I see adult only rated videos in the threads from bots. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to have that installed.

(Also I’m not religious or a prude I just don’t like specific content being shoved down my throat without my consent. Heavy on the consent part if I wanted to digest that content I’d go look, but I’m not I’m just tryna get crafting/gardening ideas😭) #whyideleted #stopthis #stoptoxicculture #healthylifestyle2024
