Why I Deleted Instagram

#storytime #lemon8contest recently deleted instagram a couple weeks ago and honestly it might have been one of the best decisions EVER. I noticed that I would get consumed by how many likes I got on a picture, I would post when i’m upset or happy, i would post big moments but not because i wanted to show off because i wanted peoples approval. I also was obsessed with using filters and slowly started to hate how I looked without one. I would be on my phone constantly scrolling or checking for notifications. Once I deleted instagram it was a habit to try n go look at stuff or message people but I was able to break it very quickly. Now that I no longer use it, I find myself happier and in a better headspace. I also noticed that some of those self critical thoughts went away. All the pictures I take now are without a filter. and I don’t think i’ve ever looked this good🥰 I am starting to fall back in love with myself and not because people are validating me but because I am now validating and complementing myself.
