My Favorite Form of Emotional Intimacy

For me, the best way to experience emotional intimacy with my partner is by doing mundane, boring, everyday things together. My favorite of those things is showering together.

While many people might immediately thing of this as more of a sexual form of intimacy (and it can definitely be that at times), for us, it’s usually much less sexy than that. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have value. It the perfect time for us to connect. There are no distractions like phones, tv, or work, so it makes it easy for us to catch up on our days or talk about our collective goals.

It's one of the most emotionally intimate moments of our day and I love it. AND it saves water!
