Island vibes at Pulau Ubin 🌴🥥

We recently made a trip to Pulau Ubin for the first time and I loved how rustic and laid back the vibes were! Sharing our experience as first-timers to the island.

🌴 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲:

- From Changi Point Ferry Terminal, take a bum boat to the island

- There are several boats available so just wait for the operator to direct you to one of the boats!

- Payment is made before you set off- prepare $4 in cash per person (+ $2 if you’re bringing your own bike)

- For a small boat, it can get a bit choppy when the waters are rough but I think it’s still manageable as it’s only around a 10-15min ride to the island

🌴 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:

- I would recommend biking around the island because it’s quite convenient AND 10/10 VIBES ✨🤩 I would suggest getting a mountain bike because the terrain can be a bit rough for a city bike.

- There are quite a few bike rental shops near the pier so u can take ur pick!

- Walking is also doable although just be aware that the paths for bikers and walkers are the same so look out when u walk :)

🌴 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

(Chek Jawa was closed so do check out when it reopens if you’re keen to go!)

- Puaka Hill: A quick 15min climb up for some really serene views! Note that the path is a lil rocky

- Campsites: There are a few campsites with nice benches and areas to relax and have a picnic hehe

- Ketam Mountain Bike Trail: We saw many bikers head into this trail! But it’s not recommended for first time bikers so please take note!!

🌴 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 & 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀:

- Near the main pier, there are quite a few seafood stalls if you’re hungry

- We also stopped by Ah Ma’s drink stall which is run by the cutest lil lady!!!! She sells coconuts and ice water and it faces the mangrove- Super shiok cold coconut on a super hot day 🥵

10/10 would go back just to have some escape from the hustle and bustle of SG 🥰
