Why You Should Try Group Travel

In March of this year I had the opportunity to travel with 19 other digital nomads to Valparaiso, Chile. I didn't know anyone when I first arrived, but by the end of the trip, everyone was my friend.

I've personally been burnt out by solo travel in the past 6 months and thought this would be a great opportunity to see new parts of the world while feeling part of a community.

Here are a few reasons why I like traveling in groups:

1. I feel safer. There really is strength in numbers while exploring a new area.

2. I made friends instantly. It was great to know that these people would hang out with me whenever I wanted to grab lunch or see a new part of town.

3. I wasn't as stressed when it came to planning activities. Everyone in the group added their input and we planned together, so it didn't feel like all of the weight was on my shoulders.
