I've done a lot of traveling in the last seven years, both by flying and driving, so I've got a pretty good idea of how it all works. This pertains specifically to flying; I know how stressful first time flying can be !

1- Wrap your backpack straps around your suit case's collapsible handle:

even if you're only bringing a suit case to check, in the time that you are pulling it around, you can take a little less weight off your back by setting your back pack in front of the handle and putting both straps over it (one strap will go over the other). and if you have a suit case carry on and a backpack carry on... unfortunately unless you've got someone to sit with your luggage at your gate, you have to take it EVERYWHERE with you. Yes, it's a real rule. And if you do have someone to sit with it while you go elsewhere, you still have to transport it all to your gate and some airports are sooo big (SLC INTL. for example 🥲). It's def helpful 🤞🏻 (cover slide partially shows it)

2-

If you're traveling alone/if you dont mind sitting away from who You're traveling with/if you don't mind not having a window/aisle seat, choose C-boarding. No, this is not C- class. It just means you're the last boarding group. Why ? Just because it's cheaper. If you've got a full flight and C-boarding, the odds of aisle/window seating are low. And I'll be honest, I hateeee middle seat, but it's tolerable. The odds of getting sit with whoever you're with are also low. If there's only middle seats, there's no two seats together. But tbh, if you want to ensure you'll get these things, even B boarding will do, which isn't expensive as A. If you really want first pick, or to sit at the front of the plane, then you'll probably wanna go A.

3- TSA does not care about vapes/disposable lighters in carry ons.

Here's the golden answer to the golden question !! You're not going to get flagged for having a vape in your carry on or for having a disposable lighter in your carry on. These can NOT go in your checked luggage, though. And the best part is that the TSA workers aren't going to ask who the bag belongs to when they spot the vape 🫣. So yes, you're all good !! *no🍃, even if it's legal in the state your flying out of and the one(s) you're flying into.* If TSA finds it, they must report it to law enforcement, and then it goes from there

4- Use the foldable trays for napping.

So what is it that makes the middle seat so bad ? Being so restricted from finding a comfortable position. You've either gotta lean back and keep your arms pulled inwards, or you gotta lean forward. So utilize those trays !!! It's honestly just like taking a nap in class. And no, the flight attendants will not care about it. Other passengers won't be judging either; you'll most likely notice multiple people doing it.

5- You aren't gonna wear all those clothes and shoes.

One thing about me is I love to overpack. I've learned over time, though, that there's no reason for it and honestly it's more hassle than helpful. In fact, you might even be alright packing less than a day and night outfit for each day you're away. Try to make it so that all of your beauty/hygiene products fit in your main luggage, as well. Carry ons are great for just what you'll be using on the plane and in the airport(s). Bonus points for that too, because you could also fit your blanket in your carry on if there's nothing in there but a couple devices and cords or books !! Like mentioned before, what you don't check, you've probably got to carry with you everywhere, so the more condensed, the better.

I hope this helps and I have plentyyyyy more to come !!!
