Why I want to leave active duty military

Almost 10 years in and I’m ready to hang up my full time coat.

Travel: Yes I have been to so many places during my time in, but traveling is actually harder than you think. In many cases when I go to these new places, it is strictly for work and there is not much down time to explore. My list of places to see grows faster than I can mark places off 😕

Family: So many new additions to my family that I get to see grow mainly through FaceTime. I’m so grateful for technology and that they get to see my face and hear my voice, but it’s just not the same. Nobody hardly knows who I am anymore

Puppers: Leaving my dogs is so hard. I leave them for such long periods of time and flip their whole world upside down. My mom and my cousin have been so helpful to me in taking care of them for me, but I know it’s not the same. I just feel like I fail them every time I have to leave them. It also sucks putting their care onto others.

Tried to keep it short and sweet. Let me know if I should do what I would miss about active duty military. It’s definitely a bitter sweet lifestyle to say the least 🙂
