seoul cafe diaries — one of the best bread i had 🍞

mil toast house is located at ikseon-dong, one of the trendy neighbourhoods in seoul where cafes are located in.

similar to bukchon hanok village, ikseon-dong houses to many traditional hanok infrastructures left behind from the olden days. in recent years, these buildings have been repurposed into modern cafes, restaurants & retail stores. this creates an environment where nostalgic architecture meets contemporary design spaces, that emits its own unique charm.

this cafe is highly raved amongst locals & tourists, and they have another outlet located in bangkok as well!

the aesthetics of the cafe is kept minimalistic, with white & light wood theme with natural sunlight coming in from the ceiling window.

i got their plain + sweet potato steamed bread (12,000krw) & drip latte (7,500krw).

i’m usually not a fan of steamed bread but this made me change my mind… it was so soft & fluffy but still slightly crunchy on the outside! the plain steamed bread paired so well with the butter. the sweet potato in the steamed bread was in chunks & they gave a generous amount!! the drip latte was one of the best lattes i’ve had this trip 👍🏻

i thought that i wouldn’t be full from this because i can usually eat a lot of bread…. but i could only finish 3/4 of this 😩 i’ll definitely re-visit this cafe when i’m back in seoul!
