The me 10years ago would never have expected this🥺

This is how we spent our 6 year wedding anniversary, and our 11th year together ✨

The me 10 years ago would have imagined us in date worthy outfits, having a fancy lunch together as both of us would have taken leave from our corporate jobs for this special day. I mean, this is how it should be, no??😤

After being together for so long, and honestly going through so much as we wear down our differences, had our fights, made up, chase our dreams, work on our businesses, these days, just being able to take time off together and spend some quality time is what is most important 🥺❤️

Of course if we had the money, we would have defo gone for a really good meal - If i remembered correctly, 4 years ago my husband was still in corporate and my friend helped to book us a fancy omakase for lunch $180+/pax that would otherwise be usually fully booked. Omg the meal was sooo goood 🤤 though I can’t remember how we spent the anniversary after.

but of course having that experience is a core memory, and seem like a been there, done that part ✅ - tho I defo won’t mind doing it again when our finances allow 🙈

We have spoke about it before and we both agreed that we wanted to work towards our dream and not go back to corporate just for the money. This is the path we have chosen and we are living it how we want to and not how others think we should.

If you can afford a good and luxurious wedding anniversary, go for it! You all deserve it 💯

But if circumstances don’t allow, just being healthy, happy and your other half being available for you is a blessing 🫶🏻👩‍❤️‍👨
