Ingredients (Serves 3) -
1 & 1/2 (rice cooker cup, 240g) raw rice
1 tbsp of light soya sauce
3/4 tbsp of dark soya sauce
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hua diao / shao xing wine
white pepper, to taste
1 tbsp minced garlic
Add water by about 5% lesser compared to cooking your regular white rice. Use the dried mushroom soaking liquid or just water.
1/2 can (170g) of spam, diced - you can use any protein that wouldn’t dry out (eg. chinese sausage or even bacon)
5 dried mushrooms (pre-soaked in warm water), sliced
300g cabbage, torn into small pieces
Cook with your usual rice cooking mode
Once rice is cooked, add and mix well with:
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp spring onions / scallions, chopped
