get a BRAND NEW Mercedes with $0 every 2-3 years

We were checking out the Car Expo that happened during the weekend (April 13-14 2024) and popped by the Mercedes booth.

Mercedes has always been a dream brand for both my wife and I so we always try our luck to see if there are any enticing promotions during each car show.

The previous car show, they offered a leasing promotion of around $2.5k per month with $0 downpayment for a brand new CLA.

This time round… the salesperson shared with me a tactic.

Bite the bullet now, pay around 40k (after trading in my current car + overtrade bonus) and I get a brand new CLA with just $1.9k monthly. Major and minor servicing all paid for the next 4 years as promotion during the car show.

Once I drive the car for 2-3 years, trade it in to Cycle & Carriage again to get a brand new Mercedes with $0 downpayment, and potential to upgrade to C class with similar monthly repayment.

Of course everything depends on the COE prices 2-3 years later… but we assume that it remains the same or increases slightly.

Tbh… it was quite enticing. But my wife and I decided that close to 2k a month for a car (although it’s our dream brand) doesn’t make sense for us now, especially when our current car monthly repayment is less than 1k.

What do you guys think? Are we missing out any important details which makes this not as good as it sounds?
