🗼Paris, France — Travel Guide

One of my favourite destinations in Europe is Paris and if you’re heading to Europe, Paris is most likely in your itinerary. I’ve compiled some tips to help make your trip more enjoyable!

1️⃣ Don’t visit the Eiffel Tower too early

I really wanted nice pictures at the Eiffel Tower without the crowd so I made sure we left by 9am. We got to the area at around 10am and it was so foggy 🤡 The fog pretty much cleared out after lunch. If you want to use this hack it should be the safest in summer. I’d plan according to the season you’re visiting! Don’t be so kanchiong like me.

2️⃣ Send your luxury purchases to your hotel

For safety and convenience sake, you can get the boutique to send your big-ticket items back to your hotel at no additional cost. Paris is not the safest and I was a bit paranoid about carrying a big Dior bag around so I got them to courier it back to my accommodation. Concierge held the item for me until I got back. I couldn’t recommend doing this enough!

3️⃣ Visit Montmarte

This was my favourite area in Paris! There are a few attractions in this area like the Sacré Coeur and the famous pink cafe, but I’d really recommend allocating some more time here just to soak in the vibes. The view is great and there’re usually people busking right outside the church. Note that there’s quite a large amount of staircases you have to climb to get up to this area but I thought it was really worth it.

4️⃣ Explore the hidden covered passages

Paris has a handful of covered passages scattered all over. The architecture inside is really gorgeous and feel different from the typical tourist attractions. You can find lots of independent boutiques, bookstores and coffee shops in here. You won’t need that much time here but I recommend it because it’s really a different vibe compared to the rest of Paris.

5️⃣ Make use of the e-scooters

These are a great way of getting around the city, especially since there’s usually a designated bike lane on the road. There’re a few different operators but most of them are around the same price. You’d have to download the respective apps before renting. I’d suggest getting one that has a phone holder in the front so you can access your maps easily
