BBTS YOU MUST TRY | Chongqing 🇨🇳 Pt. 3

I initially thought Taiwan was the land of bubbletea, but I was dead wrong the moment I landed in Chongqing! There’s soooo many bubbleteas and they are so GOOD and so CHEAP ranging from $2-$3+!! Here’s my rating and review:

1. 茶颜悦色 Sexy Tea ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5

The english name is horrible but not their drinks! Every single drink i tried was AMAZING. I personally love the osmanthus tea with foam for something lighter, floral, and more refreshing, and also fresh milk tea with cream for something more milky and indulgent. They add nuts on top of the cream and it just pairs so well - giving a savoury and crunchy bite while you drink the sweet tea. Definitely must try!!! Skip the bottled sparkling tea though 🫣

2. 一只酸奶牛 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5

If you love yogurt drinks like Yomie, this is the half-priced version of it 🥰 My personal favourite is the original with the purple rice. I tried the strawberry and avocado version, while they’re nice, they were not as refreshing as the OG. Definitely needs a little sugar so don’t go for 0%!

3. 霸王茶姬 Chagee ⭐️⭐️⭐️3/5

It’s definitely nice but they don’t really have anything special. They offer the standard fresh milk tea and those topped with cream but that’s pretty much it. Chagee has new tea base from time to time but they’re all similar once you add milk into it.

4. 故茗 Goodme ⭐️⭐️2/5

Wide selection available! Really popular in CQ too. It was a hot day so I went for the grapefruit blended drink. Sometimes grapefruit drinks can be a hit or miss, you add a little bit of sugar but it’s still too bitter or it becomes so sweet and unpalatable. This was the latter- think I got 25% and I almost died from diabetes. Other drinks are still worth a try but based on the drink I ordered, I’ll take it down a notch to 2/5 :(

I won’t drop the locations as the street is literally littered with these bubbletea shops 🤣
