tips to elevate your outfit!

got this dress recently and boy oh boy, without accessorising, it is, straight up, just a towel wrapped around my body… the silhouette of it saves it just a little 🫢 here’s how i gave it a face lift!

tip no.1

- accessories reinforce the theme of your outfit. a simple bracelet and silver watch complement a tailored look. you don’t need to go overboard on accessories. think of them as added parts to your overall outfit. for instance, for this fit, i stuck to simple ring stacking and a matching silver necklace. though, you don’t have to shy away from statement pieces, they work perfect too!

tip no. 2

- wear cute shoes! platforms, mary janes, sneakers, they all work! the key rule to make it all cohesive: shoe + bag = same colour. usually long socks will do but for this outfit, i couldn’t do without the leg warmers, they gave the overall look that extra flare and style.

tip no. 3

- be sure your bag matches your shoes and/or belt. knowing you have go-to shoe and bag combinations helps give your looks the finishing touch. again, having that coherence of color makes the outfit feel perfected.
