I Had an Allergic Reaction to Gels!

About a year ago, I discovered I could do my own gels at home! I got really into it, had all the colors, the equipment, everything!

Unfortunately, the one thing I didn’t have was that gel polishes, when left in contact with skin and then cured can eventually cause an allergic reaction!

Over time, my skills got better but I could not for the life of me figure out why my cuticles were peeling, or why the skin around my fingers was so dry and cracked.

About two weeks ago, I applied a new Gel-X set (they looked so good too 😭) and the very next day I had blisters, red angry cuticles, peeling skin, the works!

So, with all that being said, I’m setting off on a natural nail journey! I’ll be logging my progress here with any tips, tricks, or products I come across and love. Wish me luck! 🍀
