The older I get, the more I realize just how important my mornings are! There have been so many times I've done some of these 9 things and I've just started my day off poorly... These are things that I try my best to avoid in the mornings!

1. Checking social media: you never know what you're going to see on social media! it has such a big influence on our moods. I try to allow myself space in the mornings to just think on my own :)

2. Snoozing your alarm: snoozing and sleeping just gives me sleep inertia! it makes it so the sleep after is bad quality and I'm more sleepy when i wake up LOL

3. Engaging in negativity: this goes w social media but also I try my best to think the most positive thoughts of the day! Stress in the mornings is the worst :(

4. Staying in bed too long: OK I definitely love a good rot but sometimes being in bed for too long makes me feel way more tired. It can set my entire day off, especially on a weekday where I have work!

5. Drinking TOO much caffeine: I used to drink 2 cups of coffee every morning and it made me CRASH soo hard. Now I switch to one cup of tea!

6. Rushing out of the house: Everytime I rush out of the house, I feel like my day is already going poorly. I always try to give myself ample time before I have to be somewhere!

7. Jumping right onto your computer: I work from home and when I first started my job, I would roll STRAIGHT out of bed onto my computer. This made life soo monotonous - it felt like everything was work. I try my best not to hop onto work as soon as I wake up.

8. Skipping your morning routine: There are definitely days I don't do my entire morning routine, but I try my best to do the 3 biggest pieces: 1) movement 2) to-dos 3) morning vision.

9. Avoiding movement

The days in which I don't move (ie just jump straight into work) are the days I feel the most tired. Making sure NOT to skip this has been a big goal of mine!
