Need ways to decompress that’s NOT watching tv?
After a looong day of work, it’s sooo easy to want to just plop on the couch and watch tv. This is honestly how a LOT of my week days go.
More recently, I’ve realized just how much of a time suck this has been for me. Yes, it’s nice to relax and be entertained after work. But it makes it so I’ve neglected other self-care things that would make me happier! SO... in an effort to stop JUST watching tv after work, here are some healthy habits you can incorporate instead :)
HEALTHY WAYS TO DECOMPRESS AFTER WORK:
- Take time to cook something delicious
- Stretch out your body
- Do a YouTube workout (yoga / pilates)
- Take a walk (with a friend, dog, or by yourself + music/podcast!)
- Have a dance party
- Take a bath or everything shower
- Declutter and organize your space
- Read something fun
- Play a board game
- Color or draw
- Journal and reflect on how the day went
- Garden or tend to your plants
- Play with your pets
- Call a friend or family member
- Do a braindump of everything on your mind
