This was supposed to be a sourdough starter

I took pictures of my sourdough "starter" so I could post a tutorial. I really thought it would be super easy like the last time. In the craziness of having a new baby this year, I let my starter die and needed to start over.

But here's a little bit of real life for you... I made 4 flat and failed sourdough loafs with this new starter.

I gave up and stole some discard from my neighbor. But that's what neighbors are for, right? I traded her with a jar of homemade pickles.
