Would you stay in this capsule hotel?

Would you stay in one of these capsule hotels?! I did and I would do it again! In fact, I did. I’ve stayed at this capsule hotel in the Zurich airport twice now. Here’s why:

The main reason is convenience. This hotel is literally IN the Zurich airport, so it’s perfect for early flights. You can literally roll out of your bed into the security line. That said, it’s only about a 15 minute train ride to the city center, so it’s still easy to explore Zurich for a bit before your flight.

It’s clean! I mean we are in Switzerland, so everything is clean, but I feel like at a lot of “convenience” accommodations, cleanliness is not a priority. The bathrooms are super clean (no pictures as they are shared bathrooms, but trust me!) and the whole accommodation was one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in.

There’s a very warm and welcoming vibe to this place. There’s a whole community area and even signs that tell you to talk to each other. The area was a bit quiet during the day, but when we came back at night, there was actually quite a few people hanging around, drinking beers, and chatting it up with each other.

One thing I will say is that although I’ve stayed in the hotel twice now, I don’t think I would do it for more than one month at a time. If you’re a hostel traveler, then you might think otherwise as you have your own little capsule (so it’s probably more privacy than you get in a shared hostel), but I like my space, especially after long days of exploring, so I would only use this place for the convenience aspect.
