1) Gratitude, journaling, and devotional🤍

I like to do this in the morning before starting my day. It allows me to really reflect on small things that I am grateful for but also shifts my perspective. It makes me stop and ask myself how I want my day to go, how can I move towards the person I want to be? I like to do affirmations during this time too. Reading a devotional and spending time in prayer helps me to let go of things I may be worried or stressed about. It reminds me there is a bigger picture and I simply cannot control everything, I believe in God and that his plan for me is better than I could imagine.

2) Outdoor walk & podcast🎧

This combination truly brings me life. Anytime I feel overwhelmed or in my head, this is my go to activity. There’s something about feeling the sun on my skin, breathing in fresh air, and listening to words that uplift me, that just does wonders for my mental health. Honestly, some days I go for multiple walks, some days I just go for 1, but walking is an essential part of my wellness journey.

3) No screen time after waking up🌤️

This is something that I started this year and can attest, it truly makes a difference. I didn’t realize how much time I would waste going on my phone right when I woke up. I enter the day with so much more clarity. Especially because I make sure to do all my gratitude, journaling, and devotional before going on social media. 30 minutes is the minimum timeframe, but there are days I don’t go on social media until after I’m done working out. It helps me to be much more focused

4) Water+aloe+greens💧

I used to struggle so much with drinking water in the day. It’s odd because I was the kind of person that would simply not drink anything. I had to force myself to consistently drink water. By drinking 1L in the morning it truly sets me up for success and makes it so much easier to drink throughout the day. I’ll pour 1 glass from the liter and add in aloe and greens to help with digestion.
