🍜 Himokawa udon with niku shabu ($18)

We had the hot version and got the beef shabu! A bowl of Himokawa udon, served cold or in hot soup, with some beef shabu on the side. If this flat and wide udon looks familiar, that’s because it’s been making its rounds all over TikTok! I’ve not tried the popular Ginza version, but Umai’s rendition was delicious. We chose to have the udon served warmed, which turned out to be an excellent choice as each noodle strand had the perfect bite.

🍜 Tanuki udon ($13)

Poached egg & baby spinach, kelp & scallions, double-boiled soup. The udon was flavourful with the soup. A pleasant bowl to savour!

I would recommend trying all the udon dishes 🍜 All the food tasted reallyyy good and I will be back to try the other dishes. We didn’t book a reservation & the queue was long

‼️ Definitely make a reservation prior visiting because the restaurant was PACKED & they’re closed between 2pm to 5.30pm for a break
