exploring woodleigh village hawker centre 🍽️

recently, the brand-new hawker centre beside The Woodleigh Mall opened on 5th september 2024, and it’s accessible via level 2 of the mall. i dropped by during the dinner period, and it’s seriously massive. there are 3,255 square metres of space, 39 stalls, and around 600 seats! it's similar to buangkok hawker centre, both operated by fei siong group, giving off the same cozy vibes.

i tried the spicy chicken bibimbap for $5.90 at a korean stall near the entrance, where I got to pick four veggies of my choice. somehow, i ended up with a random chicken wing on my tray. i didn’t ordered it, but the lady at the stall placed it on my tray anyway. not sure what that was about, but i’ll take it since it’s free! the bibimbap itself was okay, nothing crazy, but that chicken wing? garlic-flavored, crispy, and actually pretty tasty.

there are some other unique stalls you don’t always see at hawker centres, like enick tan’s classics, mexican food, and even penang street food. you can view some of the stalls above! if you’re in the woodleigh area, it’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re looking for something different in a familiar setting.
