solo 3d2n Jakarta + list of cafes!

Jakarta is so underrated! If you enjoy KL or BKK and don’t have that many days for a trip, I highly recommend Jakarta! Though not as extensive as KL/BKK, there’s still a lot of shoppings and cafes so it’s perfect for a short weekend trip. Yes the traffic in Jakarta is mad but if you’re comfortable travelling around on bike (I took goride and grab bike everywhere) then you’re good.

Day 1 Friday:

- Arrived at around 1pm

- Took the rail link from airport to city centre, then got on a grab to my hotel

*I chose to take the train cause I didn’t want to be stuck in the traffic but tbh the train was quite a hassle also and it’s not a high speed train so time taken might have been the same if I just took a grab from the airport idk

- Checked into Novotel at around 4pm, charged my phone and left hotel for Brightspot market around 5pm

*Brightspot market was a huuuge popup market and I spent the whole night there, if there wasn’t this market, I prob would have spent the night at PIK by the Sea

Day 2 Saturday - Bloc M + Plaza Indonesia:

- Breakfast at 📍Little Salt Bread which was YUM! There are quite a few other cafes in the area (bloc m) too

- Walked to📍Suasanakopi for coffee but didn’t rly like it

- Checked out their supermarket 📍Papaya Fresh. The Yava granola bites are so worth the hype! I regret only keeping 2 for myself. You can get them in Bali too at their minimarts or on shopee/redmart

- Went to📍Bloc M Space which is an event space and they occasionally hold makers’ markets. Bought a trinket tray there for $1.50 what a steal! There’s also cafes here

- Made a stop at📍Matcha Bae for tea break before returning to hotel. Devouring a whole slice of cake by myself felt so liberating!!¡!

- Wanted to go PIK by the sea but only learnt it’s an hour drive away from my hotel at 6pm 😂 So i went 📍Plaza Indonesia instead cause there were some brands I wanted to check out. Refer to my previous post for compiled list of Indo brand to check out

- Grabfood from 📍Warung MJS and 📍Pagi Sore cause I couldn’t decide on one. Pagi Sore > Warung MJS for me

Day 3 Sunday:

- My flight was 11am, I wanted to do a quick cafe run but I was low key scared I’ll miss my flight cause of traffic + I have so much leftover food I could make breakfast out of those

- Instead I ordered Grabfood from a bakery that I really wanted to try -📍Moon Gypsy so I got to enjoy cafe brunch food on the plane 😆 Also brought the bakes back to share with my fam

BTW I was told by the hotel reception that there’s no jam to the airport on Sunday and true enough, my journey to the airport was smoooooth! Do still confirm this was your hotel reception or a local though.

As I was by myself, I didn’t get to eat all that much but they do have a lotttt of restaurants and bars too!

This short trip was so fun I totes see myself back at JKT soon!
