3D2N KL Solo Trip🤩

I was in a very live-laugh-love run away from SG mood so I booked a very impromptu trip to KL by myself 🤩 I think i literally booked everything the day before,,, wouldn’t recommend doing that again LOL

Day 1️⃣

I booked a coach through grab shuttle and was expecting things to go smoothly but no 😭

•BILLION STAR COACH SERVICE

Rating: NO STAR BRUH 😭😭😭

I had such a terrible experience with them, WAITED 1 HR, never ending anxiety too since it was also my first time booking with them so idk the exact process. I regret not doing my research but I also did not expect grab to do me dirty like that,,,I might make a separate post to rant about it 😔(grab recently suspended their shuttle service 🫣 I wonder why)

📍 Berjaya Times Square

Anyways thanks to the coach delay my plans were delayed by 3hrs, I ended up reaching close to 7pm,,,I had to replan my itinerary. I was too tired and just grabbed a quick bite at Taco Bell 🌮 and dabao KFC back to my Air bnb to eat😮‍💨

📍 The Colony by Infinitium

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I grabbed to my airbnb after eating. If I’m gonna be honest I only booked this place cos of the view at the infinity pool LOL but it was also very cheap (abt $29/night sgd) The room I booked was for solos but the host has many other listings in the same building

Day 2️⃣

I spent the morning at the gym with amazing view and headed to the pool for a swim after🤩 After that I went back to my apartment to shower and got ready for lunch

📍Jamboo

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I saw this place on lemon8 and was intrigued by the concept of how they serve their drinks. They serve it outside this hole in the wall, I got the JambooCha and I loved it 🫨 it’s matcha mixed with guava. It tasted so light and refreshing 🍵

Next I got a custom rice bowl where you can diy by filing a bowl with the ingredient cards on the wall, idk what sauce I got but it was their specialty sauce and it was pretty good! If I’m ever coming back to KL again I would come back here just for the JambooCha 😭

📍1 Shamelin Mall

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.5

Next, I headed to this mall for the Jalan Jalan Japan to thrift! While I was heading to the toilet I notice the entire level had other thrift stores as well. There were about 3 stores including JJJ. I think I spent like 2-3 hours there, there was def a wide selection and variety, but you rly have to spend hours sifting through😮‍💨

📍The Exchange TRX

After thrifting, I wanted to take a break and get some ice cream.

•Matcha Eight

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.5

I bookmarked this matcha place (I love matcha 😮‍💨) I got the Matcha Me Tonight flavour and it was the perfect balance of matcha, sweetness and bitterness. However their fresh mochi is those plain tangyuan, I felt so cheated when I bit into it LOL

I went to hunt for Sonny Angels at the express Kinokuniya but there was only Smiskis 😩

📍The Pavilion

Man I was so lost when I got here, I couldn’t find where I wanted to go and had to ask directions multiple times cos this place was beyond huge😭

•Kaki Yuki

Rating: ⭐⭐️

Another Lemon8 recommendation but unfortunately I was disappointed to the core. When I reached, there was literally nobody (I was the only one) I got the warm red bean dessert with mochi (to make up for the fake mochi from the matcha place 😭).

When I bit into the mochi IT WAS COLD? IN A WARM DESSERT. I was so tilted n confused 😭😭 (was alr tilted from walking ard in circles being lost 🫠)

It would have been nice if it was warm but idk what was the staff doing when I was their only customer bruh, it’s not like they had to rush their order too :(( idk if their cold dessert have better standards uh but I won’t recommend the warm desserts

I wanted to try out this place as it’s a pink restaurant LOL. I didn’t expect it to be an outdoor concept restaurant. The entire theme and aesthetic is pink everything, the service was great or maybe the server felt bad that I was dining alone 🧍🏻‍♀️he offered to help me take photos and rly took in every angle possible 😭 The food wise I think it was kinda mid, not bad but just very normal western food with overpriced fancy drinks HAHA

Day 3️⃣

📍KLCC

I didn’t include this in the pics above cos I didn’t do much there,,,just quick trip to the Kinokuniya just to be disappointed with smiskis n no Sonny angels again :’(( I got a roti boy and grabbed back to my apartment to check out

📍Berjaya Indoor Theme Park

I checked out and headed to Times Square, the theme park is inside the mall. Thank god they have lockers big enough for my luggage, I was able to park my luggage inside and u can keep opening it without additional charge. I purchased the tickets on the spot (abt $20+ sgd)

I would say the rides are pretty mid except the roller coaster 🫨 I tot it wouldn’t be scary since it’s in such a small space but I was wrong omg, it was twisting and turning I was so dizzy but i went again LOL

•Mr Pan Mee

Rating: ⭐️⭐️

I ended off by eating at a random place, it was questionable,,, the ban mee noodle was too thick and the drink I got tasted funny 😭 I think it was the yogurt not mixing well with the drink itself but oh wellss 🥹

BACK TO THE BILLION STAR RANT, AHHH IT WAS TERRIBLE I actually felt so unsafe while waiting for the bus (it was late for 45mins) I was getting hit on by random men cos I was waiting outside the mall 😭 I couldn’t step away either in fear that I would miss the bus. Not to mention they would tell u to switch buses halfway without informing in advance the reason (turns out it’s for cash grabs so they can ask more ppl to board from the jb customs wtf)

Overall, my trip could have been so much better if I didn’t book with that trashy coach service 😔
