Never coming back to this hotel 😭

Usually when it comes to hotel, I’m a very easy person to please. Jus make sure it’s clean and everything is not broken and 👍

Whenever I go to Batam in the past, most of the time I would always stay in this hotel The BCC Hotel & Residence. BUT this was the first time I had such a bad experience.

For me, I cannot tolerate the smell of smoke and I’m very sensitive to me, same to everyone else in my group. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and requested for a non-smoking room (understand that it’s subject to availability).

We booked it on 30 June, and finalised and paid on 13 July (our stay was on 10 Aug).

When we first reached our level there was already that smoke smell. But when we went into our room, there was just a strong heavy scent of SMOKE 💨 And it was so bad to the point my sister started having a headache. We tried spraying A LOT of room freshener but less than 5 mins, the smell was already back. We tried to tahan for awhile more, but we couldn’t so when we were going to leave to go to the mall in the evening, we went to the front desk to ask if there’s smt they could do about it. On top of that, we found 2 cockroaches in our original room (before they changed our room). 😭

We requested for towels and they took 1-2 hours just to deliver them?? We called twice and both time, they just kept informing us that they are on their way 😭

On top of that, the breakfast was also pretty mid. Food and drinks were either too sweet or there was no taste at all. But it’s edible ig?

I honestly ranted about my entire experience in the agoda review. Was surprised to find out only 2 levels were non-smoking levels 😭

Probably will not come back here for awhile if I plan to go Batam soon 😵‍💫 If your like me and can’t tolerate smoke, would not recommend since you have a slim chance of getting a non-smoking room.
