Do you know there is a difference between being burnt out and being stressed out ?
🔥Being burnt out is more like losing motivation and feel down a lot . It is also harder to recover from depending how burn out you are that is why people try to prevent it as it can affect your productiveness for quite a while .
WHILE
😫Being stress is just having too many things piled up together and struggling to cope with it . Consistently finding that you lack time for you as you have to consistently rush for things . This can be a little easily fixed but it can take up some time which is why people can’t stop feeling stress as you already feel you lack time so why waste time resting ?
However both are similar in a way that it slows you down and can hurt you emotionally / mentally .
Some ways to identify burn outs
- lack motivation
- mood change (more irritable,angry…)
- can’t focus
- feeling like life has no meaning but just a cycle
- self doubt
- sleep deprived or insomnia
[you can google research more but these are some I have experienced before]

- try to organise things in a way you can cope with
- self care
- sleep !!
Some ways to identify stress
- feeling overwhelmed/lack time
- anxious ( scared you can’t finish things in time )
- can’t relaxed because consistent pressures eating at you
- depressed
- overthinking

[These are what I learnt when I felt like I was experiencing some signs so I researched to see which one I was experiencing and how to help it because honestly this time my experience was worse than other times I really felt I had no purpose just doing what I have to do , rushing here and there , mood changes as a whole I was really down and it felt very gloomy all the time but I took a whole day break which I had to force myself to take and had to get my cousin to make sure I don’t do work to get a bit better as I can’t fully relax since my exams are coming but I needed to get better to make sure it doesn’t affect my exam progress and revision ]
Advice : it’s ok to feel like you are struggling, just try to recover even if you don’t think you don’t have time because if you don’t recover you won’t be making progress at all . If you need help don’t be afraid to ask for help , I realised from this my friends were very helpful they took care for me and some of my stuff like reminding me of dateline I would forget as my mind was a mess , they checked on me , listened to my thoughts while also going for short relaxing activities with me like watching movies or lunch . So don’t be afraid the real ones will help and stick by you so if they don’t maybe it’s time to think about it and not blame you ! Other than friends of course you family are always there too !
