these are some items I realised were really useful on hindsight!! It’ll be best if you brought them along😋🌏

🌨NAIL CLIPPER🌨

this is so silly but I actually forgot to bring a nail clipper! of course you could easily find it in stores but why buy when you can save the cost?☺️

🌨KIAP KIAPS/ STORAGE CLIPS🌨

these came in sooo handy when I couldn’t finish snacks I bought! Living alone meant that I took longer to finish a pack of biscuits/chips and having these kiap kiaps were a good way to store my food. I also found them helpful on day trips where I shared food with friends on trains and had to keep them airtight in my bag afterwards as we travelled🤩

🌨DISPOSABLE UNDERGARMENTS🌨

Not the most environmentally friendly option so I don’t use them on the regular! But really helpful if you’re going on short weekend trips around Europe because you don’t have to worry about washing your undergarments. Especially on low budget student trips, hostels may not provide washing machines!! Hand washing might not be so convenient either ☹️

🌨MILO🌨

hahaha this is just my guilty pleasure but Milo is difficult to find in Europe and often really expensive too!! So save yourself the hassle and bring some local drinks or snacks you like :-) don’t overdo it though because these things take up space and luggage weight! My friend brought 2 huge packs of Milo but found he hardly touched them as he was satisfied with hot chocolate from the dining hall 😋

🌨ELECTRONIC HANDWARMER🌨

this was a LIFESAVER in winter months! My friend kindly lent hers to me, but I don’t think it’s difficult to find! Basically it heats up and you can place it together with your hands in your pocket to warm them up🧡

🌨 DUFFEL BAG/ SMALL LUGGAGE🌨

If you’re planning to travel around, this is so important!! Different people have different preferences between a duffel and a luggage. Duffels have a higher chance of fitting into budget air regulations for carry on baggage! But they are straining on the shoulders. Luggages usually incur cost when bringing onto the flight— but rolling it around was comfortable for me :-)

TIP✍🏼: do really base this decision on where you are going and how much you’re willing to spend on transport! Some European countries have cobblestone roads which make pulling the luggage tough. Unless you’re prepared to rough it out/take grab or Uber from the airport to your accoms, choose the duffel instead 😌

🌨 FOLDABLE SHOPPING BAG🌨

This hardly took up space which meant I carried it everywhere I went! Whether to store groceries (most places charge for plastic bags) or to store shopping (thrifting culture is booming in Europe), my shopping bag was my bestie ❤️
