Cafe Recs: Alchemist Khong Guan Building 😍💫

Hey everyone! I'm back with a quick review, and I promise, more content is coming soon!

So, let’s talk about Alchemist. I’ve known them since their store on Design Orchard, and I still remember climbing those stairs on a very hot Singapore weather.

But trust me, their iced white coffee was worth it—smooth and super refreshing for a hot day!

This time, I visited their Khong Guan Building location. It looked super aesthetic, so I thought, why not? And since it was also a hot weather outside, I went for my go-to: the iced white.

I chose the dark matter beans, which I’d tried as a drip brew before and loved. They served and didn’t disappoint.

The iced white had that nutty flavour, subtle but comforting. It's worth a try if you're into smooth, balanced coffee. 💯

That said, I prefer dark matter as a drip coffee—just a personal preference! But don’t let that stop you from trying their iced or hot white. Who knows, it might become your new fave.

Now, let's talk pastries. Pain au chocolat was my choice of the day. While it wasn’t mind-blowing, it was a solid snack.

The chocolate wasn’t overpowering or overly sweet, which I loved. Is it the best croissant I’ve had? Maybe not, but it’s better than many I’ve tried before.

Overall, value for money was okay. Considering the coffee and pastry, I’d say it’s still worth the try—especially if you want to chit-chat with a friend or even get some work done.
