Explore My Front Landscape

We’ve all heard the expression “You never get a second chance to make a first impression”. And your home’s first impression is its curb appeal. Whether it’s the color of the paint, the landscaping, even the house numbers and mailbox…they all create the look of your home.

Our desert home was built in 1988 and we purchased it from the original owners. It was in need of a major update and that included the orangish brown color of the stucco. We opted to keep the stucco exterior but made it white with black trim. Classic. Our Mid Century Modern house numbers help create the look we were going for.

We chose to keep with the desert climate and use cactus and palms in our landscaping. And by adding a desert tree we created a bit of shade that helps keep our home cool inside too.

We don’t use our front yard for entertaining so we saved all the outdoor furniture for our backyard pool.

Keeping with the MCM and simple classic design we opted for a globe light over the front door and simple black can lights on the garage. Our interior doors are all painted black and so we used the same color on the front door to keep a cohesive look and design.
