NAMI ISLAND & ALPACA WORLD - worth? 🌿🦙🦆🦌🌸

my itinerary planning has really been made easier with klook! sounds v ad-like but this is not sponsored (i wish) but this tour i bought on klook really saved me the time and effort to plan ahead, arranging transports etc!

after booking the tour, all i had to do is j arrive at the pick-up location on time and everything else is planned by the tour guide!

🏳️TOUR GUIDE: my tour guide was proficient in korean, english, and even chinese! there wasn’t any communication issue on the tour at all. in fact a lot of information about the tour is given on klook itself, including tour route, pick up locations, timings, etc

🚌TRANSPORT: transport was the main reason my bf and i decided to book the tour! because based on our research, going to nami island and alpaca world takes about > 3 hrs ride each by train, 2 hrs at best by cab. booking the tour means transport will be taken care for us and this include picking us from and sending us back to our most convenient location = easier and faster to get back to the hotel

⏰TIME ALLOCATED: as we were heading to 3 locations, the time we have was quite tight. we only had 1 hr to explore alpaca world, 1 hr for lunch, 1.5 hrs at nami island, then slightly >1 hr at the garden of morning calm. all excluding the travelling time between locations, which took up half the day!

we had to strategically plan the route we wish to take at each location, what is it we want to see most as there was simply no time to look at everything

💸PRICE: i paid $100.45 per pax for this tour, which includes transport, tour guide and 3 locations (does not include food and personal expenses). if u wish to zip-line down to nami island, u have to top up and the tour guide can help u arrange!

unfortunately for us, the next slot for the zip wire was 2 hrs after and it didn’t align to our schedule so we j took a ferry (which is included)

*** do TAKE NOTE of PROMO that klook provides at limited period! i initially wanted the nami + alpaca + bikerail tour but i missed the promo period and it became $20 more expensive so i decided the garden was alright, slightly cheaper so we went for that instead!

OVERALL: 4.5/5 for the tour experience

but would i recommend the locations on its own for others to visit in korea?

GARDEN OF MORNING CALM: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🦙ALPACA WORLD: this was really interesting bc i thought it was j gonna be alpacas but they have a lot of other animals too! like rabbits, deers, goats, cows, ostriches, different species of birds, squirrels and one very lonely capybara :(

i felt so sad for the capybara bc it was alone and enclosed and there was only a very small box of water next to it. they’re highly social animals so it’s sad to see it alone

on the other hand, there were quite a lot of ducks j walking about with no care in the world, one opened its beak and stomped towards my bf, we were like ???DA FK???

but this are all located on a hill so there’s a lot of hiking???! not loving it in such a HOT weather but may be nice and relaxing in colder seasons

🏝️NAMI ISLAND: very meh i didn’t like it, it was j green trees in the summer like walking down east coast park. idk it might be nicer and prettier maybe during the spring and in cooler weather. but we went korea in the hottest month, 35 degrees celcius everyday, it was not it. and pls wear comfortable shoes!

🌸GARDEN OF MORNING CALM: surprisingly nice! i didn’t expect much bc i’m not a big garden lover, but it was nice to see different kinds of flowers, there’s also a stream where u can enter and dip ur feet in. i see locals chilling on their chairs by the stream (which is provided). again, located on the hill so u gotta hike up and down a bit

OVERALL: just don’t come during the summer lmao DAMN HOT a lot of the time i’m like screw this j quickly go back, i might actually get heat stroke, gO DURING THE COLDER SEASONS and u’ll love it :)
