What to do and see in the World of Studio Ghibli

We went last Saturday (Oct. 5) to the new exhibition in ArtScience Museum - The World of Studio Ghibli. The exhibition is located at Basement 2 and Level 3. Start at the basement 2.

There are a lot of things to see and do.

There are life sized displays/intallations from the following films:

- Howl’s Moving Castle

- Castle in the Sky

- My Neighbour Totoro

- Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

- Porco Rosso

- Pom Poko

- Princess Mononoke

- Kiki’s Delivery Service

- Spirited Away

Outside the museum you can see Ponyo.

Art Activities:

- Draw your own soot sprite/susuwatari (card, pencils and strings are provided)

- Paper folding + writing notes (paper with totoro design and pencils are provide and you get to sit on a tatami mat)

- Stamping (an image of Totoro, they provide the materials but sometimes they ran out, so better bring some papers)

There are also interactive and miniature displays.

These popular or major photo spots have long queues especially on weekends:

- Bus Stop scene in My Neighbour Totoro (take pictures with Mei, Satsuki and Totoro under a red umbrella)

- Inside the train with No Face (sit beside No Face)

They also have an area for some merchandise in level 3. Here are some of the items they have:

- Plushies

- Lunch boxes

- Tote bags

- Keychains

- Towels

- Books

- Pouches

- T-Shirt and Socks

- Puzzles

- Figures

- Stationaries

- Peranakan Skirt (this is a limited-edition)
